I love the F1 wings, Pro Street air intakes, "Bridgestone" tires, Flying Tiger motif on the black train, and steam punk throughout. By TVR films,
and their take on the movie Death Race

A movie about the Targa Florio is coming
the early Targa Florio Race story that is being told by the upcoming movie Pistons, Passions and Sicilian Pleasures and the publication The Belle Epoque of the Targa Florio Races, a new book written by David Biggins and Antonio Lombardi
The first Targa Florio was organized by Italian enthusiast Vincenzo Florio in 1906. The race at that time was a three lap event over a 92.7-mile circuit on the island of Sicily. Alessandro Cagno in an Itala won the event, taking 9.5 hours to finish, while averaging 29 mph for the run: Carlo Graziani was second in another Itala, and Paul Bablot in a Berliet was third. Florio a prominent Sicilian had previously initiated the Coppa Brescia held in Italy and first run there in 1900. It was renamed the Coppa Florio in 1905 after he offered the initial prize money and a trophy for the race.

a lifelong passion for cars, since he "borrowed" his dads race car, and once he could race, he competed in the Targa Florio, 15 x Mille Miglia, and had a 25 year racing run, and then found the #004 Porsche
thanks to director Edoardo Vojvoda for bringing this short movie to my attention, and sharing it with us!
Just to point out a teaser, for anyone ont he fence about committing to watching a 16 minute film... the Iso Grifo Competizione... is one of 10 made, and his was found as a basket case int he Canary Islands, but restored by Modena who built it, with the assistance of Bizzarini himself

the Hollywood version of Burt's streamlined world record setting 1920 Indian Scout was at the GRNS
and the below Harley might be worth noting in a separate post... but only if I hadn't just looked at the Scout up close in person for the first time.
I mention in the post title that this is the Hollywood version... because the original is in New Zealand, and I've posted from the photo album about it.
